week 2 - 4

these week we learn how to build a torn bike. the point of these course is modeling non organic objects, using loft and other more complicate order in Maya.

How to build a torn bike:

1.open the three side view file which Lewis gave us in Maya.


2.create a pipe  as wheel and drag several edges of it to make a outsider curved and inside flat wheel.

3, create a line around the bike by use CV curve tool

4.once finish last step, shift+ D drag a copy of it, and go surface - surface - loft to loft a surface between 2 lines.

5. Modify - convert - NURBS to polygon - check the options, make sure use quads and control points . Now the surface turn to be a good polygon.
 6.polygon - edit mesh - merge vertex or merge edges.this step will make this surface close and looks more like a real bike.
 7.delete several and use extrude to build the hole for wheel and the ...the horn like thing?
 8,give it texture as the table put it into an environment, and va la!
